How do I return an item?
As always, we hope that you are 100% satisfied with
your purchase. In unlikely event that you are not, we offer differing
policies depending on your method of purchase. All returns must be
pre-approved by the sales department at The Workshops of David T. Smith.
Please remember, as we strive to produce an authentic antique
appearance reproduction, all items will have logical age and distress.
Items bought from online stock We provide a 30 day, 100% purchase price return policy on any item (excluding Clearance) purchased from on-line stock. You are responsible for the safe packaging and return of the item to The Workshops of David T. Smith. Original shipping will not be refunded unless there was a defect in the product. Items purchased via work order We provide a 30 day return policy on items purchased via work order. If there is a defect with the item, we will either replace the item, or refund 100% of the total sale. If there is no defect, and the item was built as per the work order, shipping charges will not be refunded and a restocking charge of 20% may apply. Custom designed items / projects As these items have been entirely custom made to the customers' specifications, these items are not subject to return. If you have an issue with a custom piece, please Contact Us to discuss your concerns with our sales department. Showroom Sales We provide a 30 day, 100% purchase price return on items returned with original receipt provided the item is returned in the same condition as when sold.
